The Fellowship of the Unashamed

The Fellowship of the Unashamed

I am part of the "Fellowship of the Unashamed."
The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line.
The decision has been made. I am a disciple of
Jesus Christ. I won't look back, let up, slow down,
back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present
makes sense, and my future is secure.
I am finished and done with low living, sight walking,
small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams,
chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position,
promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I now live by
presence, lean by faith, love by patience,
lift by prayer, and labor by power. My pace
is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my
road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few,
my Guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought,
compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back,
diluted, or delayed.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the
presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy,
ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander
in the maze of mediocrity.

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I must go until
Heaven returns, give until I drop, preach until all know,
and work until He comes. And when He comes to get
His own, He will have no problem recognizing me.
My colors will be clear.

I am not ashamed of the gospel . . . Romans 1:16

These are the words of Bob Moorehead, but I claim them for my own life.

Okay, So I'm Saved...NOW what?

"And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Acts 2:21

Okay, so I'm Saved.....NOW what?

"Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized,
every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ
for the forgiveness of your sins.  And you will
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
Acts 2:38-39

  Webster's defines the word 'sin':
1.  the willful breaking of religious or moral law
2.  any offense or fault.

Webster's defines the word 'repent':
1.  to feel sorry for (a sin, error, etc.)
2.  to feel such regret over (an action,
intention, etc.) as to change one's mind.

Take a moment to review your actions....
what things do you do that you KNOW are sins?

We will now lift your sins up to the Lord.  Pray the following prayer out loud:
"Heavenly Father, I confess that I have
sinned against You, and to the best of my
current ability, I repent of these sins,
I ask You in the name of Jesus Christ,
forgive me, Father.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen"

  KNOW THIS

"If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves
and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins
and purify us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:8-9

Your sins are now forgiven.  The slate is clean.
From this moment on, when you stumble
and sin, confess that sin to God, and ask
Him to forgive you.  The Lord doesn't let
sin stand between you and He, don't YOU
let sin stand between He and you.

Doesn't it feel wonderful to be reconciled
to God, and forgiven for all of your sins?
Hallelujah!!!

God bless you, my dear friend in Jesus. :)

Why do I need Jesus?

1.  I am a sinner, and separated from God by sin.
"everyone has sinned and is far away from God's saving presence."
Romans 3:23

2.  God gave His Son, Jesus, over to death, as a final atonement for my sins.
"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly."
Romans 5:6

3.  Through Jesus, I can be reconciled to God.
"But that is not all; we rejoice because of what God has done through our Lord Jesus Christ, who has now made us God's friends."
Romans 5:11

4.  I obtain this reconciliation by accepting what Jesus did for me on the cross...
and confessing Jesus is Lord out loud...
and believing God raised Jesus from the dead.
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9

5.  I cannot come to God unless He draws me...
and the fact that I am here reading this is proof that He is drawing me.
"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day."
John 6:44

Are you a believer?  Do you desire to be reconciled to God?
If so, pray the following prayer and know that I stand in agreement with you before our Father in Heaven:

"Father in Heaven, the God of Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob...I stand before you now,
with the desire of reconciliation in my heart.
Jesus Christ is Lord, and I ask Jesus to
come into my heart right now, and be
my Lord and Savior.  To the best of my
ability, I believe You raised Jesus from
the dead.  Father, I commit myself to you,
I commit myself to Jesus, and I ask you
to mold me into the person that YOU desire
me to be.   In Jesus' Name, I pray...Amen"

Welcome to the Kingdom of God!

You now have a wonderful journey before you, and much to learn.  Remember two very important things:
A.  Pray often.  God loves to hear from you!
B.  Read your bible.  This is how you will come to know God.

God bless you!

Jesus is my Lord, and He can be yours too!

If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved.
For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved.
The scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed."

Romans 10:9-11

It really is that simple!

Speak the following prayer, out loud, right now:

"Hi God, it's me, (insert your name here)...

I confess that Jesus is Lord....
I ask You to make me a believer...
A believer in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead...
Thank you.  Amen."

Now, you can TRUST that God heard you...

and KNOW that He will make you a believer.

Oh! God is soooo faithful, and He loves you more than you know. :)
